CasketDepot.ca is an online retailer of funeral caskets and related products, operated in Canada. We sell directly to consumers and to funeral homes across Canada.

3. Products & Product Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe and display our products, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and features. However:

• Colours may appear slightly different on screen due to monitor settings and photography lighting.
• We reserve the right to correct errors in product listings, including pricing errors, at any time without prior notice.
• Product availability is subject to change. If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will contact you promptly to offer an alternative or a full refund.
• Casket models and specifications may change without notice due to manufacturer updates.

 

4. Pricing & Currency

All prices displayed on CasketDepot.ca are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is confirmed.

Applicable taxes (GST/HST/PST) will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on your delivery location. You are responsible for all applicable taxes.

 

5. Orders & Payment

5.1 Placing an Order

When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase the product(s) at the listed price. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

All transactions are processed securely. CasketDepot.ca does not store your full credit card information. We comply with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements.

6. Shipping & Delivery

6.1 Delivery Areas

We currently ship to addresses within Canada. Delivery availability to specific remote locations may be limited. Please contact us before placing an order if you are in a rural or remote location.

6.2 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location, the size and weight of the product, and the shipping method selected. Shipping costs will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

6.3 Delivery Timeframes

We understand that casket deliveries are often time-sensitive. We will do our best to fulfill and ship orders as quickly as possible. Estimated delivery timeframes will be provided at checkout. However, delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. CasketDepot.ca is not liable for delays caused by:

• Carrier or courier delays
• Weather events or natural disasters
• Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

If you require delivery by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so we can advise on availability.

6.4 Delivery & Risk of Loss

Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier. Please inspect your order upon delivery. If there is visible damage to the packaging or product, note this with the delivery driver and contact us within 48 hours.

 

7. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

7.1 Right to Cancel

In accordance with Canadian distance selling rules, you have the right to cancel your order within 15 days of delivery for a refund, provided the product has not been used.

7.2 Return Conditions

Due to the nature of our products, returns are subject to the following conditions:

• The casket must be unused, unaltered, and in its original condition and packaging.
• You must contact us at sales@casketdepot.ca within 15 days of delivery to initiate a return.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is defective or was incorrectly shipped.
• We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

7.3 Non-Returnable Items

Custom-ordered or personalized caskets, urns, monuments, and products that have been used or altered, are not eligible for return.

7.4 Refunds

Once a return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

7.5 Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order at no charge before it has been shipped. Once an order has been shipped, our standard return policy applies. To cancel an order, contact us immediately at sales@casketdepot.ca.

 

8. Warranties

Our caskets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. Specific warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer. Warranty details for each product are available on the respective product page.

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorized modification
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused during shipping after delivery is accepted without noting damage

To make a warranty claim, contact us at sales@casketdepot.ca with your order number, a description of the defect, and photographs where possible.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CasketDepot.ca shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Delays in delivery
• Errors or inaccuracies in product descriptions or pricing

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the purchase of a product shall not exceed the amount paid for that product.
